Our Mosque is a mobile app available for iOS and Android where mosques can have a space to communicate and share information with their community which include and is not limited to news and announcements publications, share of timetables and prayer streaming.

There are 2 options where the mosques can allow their users to access this space:

1.   By displaying their mosque in the Our Mosque app.

With this option, the users download the Our Mosque app from the store (Google Play for Android or App Store for iOS) and search for their mosque from a list. Once they have chosen their mosque, subsequent openings of the app will go straight to their chosen mosque’s space (without having to select their mosque from the list again).

2.  By having their own standalone app

With this option, the mosque will have their own app published in the stores (Google Play for Android and App Store for iOS). When a user downloads this app, upon opening it they will go straight to the mosque’s space.

Mosque Profile

Display mosque information that includes

· Name

· Icon

· Background image

· Quote (a short message in italic under the mosque's name and icon)

· Description (about the mosque)

· Website

· Location in Google Maps

· Social media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, WhatsApp and other major social media

· Contact: phone number, email address

· List of mosque services

Timetables

When a mosque publishes their timetables for the month using the Admin Web app, these are displayed inside the app both in the Main Page (where only displays the current day's timetables) and in the Daily Timetables section (where the full month's timetables are displayed) split in tabs by Beginning and Jamat times.

Users can setup notifications for when a prayer time is due through their profile configuration (the user selects their User Profile and chooses the option Configure Reminders). Here, the user can define which prayer time to receive notification from and when to receive them (for example, 30 minutes before it's due).

Announcements

Similarly to Facebook or Instagram, display a publication related to the mosque (announcement, news) in the Main Page. These publications can be text-only, image-only, or a combination of text and image. The publication also displays when it was published (for example, '3 days ago').

Users might receive a notification when a new announcement is published.

Donations

A donation button is displayed in the Main Page where the user can quickly get redirected to the donations website setup by the mosque.

Live prayer streaming

YouTube video streaming is available through the streaming option (tv icon with a 'play' inside) at the top right corner of the Main Page (option only available when this feature is enabled and there's a YouTube link setup). Here the user can play a live streaming video of the prayers being recorded by the mosque.

Offers and Sponsors

Display images of advertisements (known as offers and sponsors to the users) inside the app. These are displayed in:

· the Main Page as the user scrolls through announcements and news publications;

· the live prayer streaming, at the bottom of the page underneath the streaming video;

· the Offers and Sponsors section in the app (accessed through the menu) where all the available images are listed and displayed.

These images are clickable, meaning that when a user clicks on an image it will open a link associated to the ad (for example, the sponsor's website).

Ads are displayed to the user in a way that's not intrusive to avoid frustrations, similarly to how Facebook and Instagram display their ads. These ads are displayed to the user in a way that allows all of them to have a similar rate of display to avoid an ad to be displayed more times than others.

User profile

This is a section in the app where the user can:

· update their details (display profile image, display name, and display quote - the latter being just a short message in italic under the user's name and image);

· register an account (sign up or login with a Google account, Apple account or email+password) which allows them to store their preferences such as their reminders configurations, their selected mosque and their input details;

· configure reminders (for each beginning or jamat times, define when and how to be notified);

· access Our Mosque's terms and conditions and privacy policy, and some FAQ about the app;

· unregister the mosque selected for the app allowing them to select a different mosque;

· delete their account which deletes all their identifiable data and configurations.

Quran reader

Access to a digital copy of the Quran translated into multiple languages, together with a transliteration and the original Arabic version. Users can access to each of the chapters and bookmark them for quicker access.

Qibla finder

Allows the users to find the Qibla through the gyroscope (if available in their device) or in a map.

99 Names of Allah

Allows the users read and recite the 99 Names of Allah within the app.

Mosque personalisation

Allows the customisation of some characteristics in the user interface that allows the app to reflect the mosque branding. This includes:

· Background colours (page background, navigation bar, buttons);

· Text colours;

· Text font (a selection of predefined fonts available);

· Background images (such as a Main Page background image and the Main Page prayer time background image);

· List divider colour.

Mosque information

Define mosque profile information that includes

· Name

· Icon image

· Background image

· Quote (for example, a quote made by Muhammad pbuh)

· Description (about the mosque)

· Website link

· Location in Google Maps (Latitude + Longitude) and address

· Social media links: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, WhatsApp, and other major social media

· Phone number and email address

· List of mosque services names (for example, Madrassa or Funeral Service)

· Donation Link and description

· YouTube video link for streaming

App preview

To allow the mosque administrator to review and check how their modifications will be seen by users before publishing them, there's an embedded preview tool that displays how some of the screens would look like in the app after modifications are published.

Upload timetables

Check and edit any month's timetables in an embedded excel sheet for both Beginning and Jamat. It allows the edition of each date's times and publish them to the app. The mosque administrator can define timetables for several months in advance.

For simplicity, they can also download a .xlsx template file that can be opened in Microsoft Excel (or compatible software) and upload them to the admin web app that will populate the times automatically.

Publish announcements

Publish an announcement by typing a publication in text and/or upload an image. The administrator can also decide if they want to send a push notification to the user upon publication. This notification includes the first lines of the publication or a description indicating that the mosque has shared a new announcement image.

Manage Ads

Upload, edit, delete and manage as many advertisements as wished to be displayed in the user app. Optionally, each ad image can be associated to a link that will be opened in the user app when a user clicks on the image.

Access analytics

Every time a user uses the app, such engagements are stored anonymously and displayed to the mosque administrators to check how users are behaving when using the mosque's space in the app.

This includes:

· Number of users registered to the mosque (in the app);

· Times users have opened the app;

· Times users have accessed a functionality such as donations, prayer streaming and mosque's website;

· Times social media links were accessed through the app (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other major social media);

· Times users have seen and opened ads.

Only data associated to the mosque is displayed to the mosque's administrator. Data of other mosques cannot be accessed.

Manage your app photo gallery

Upload images or copy/paste image links from your website or social media to be displayed within the app photo gallery. You can add as many links as you wish, however, images upload into our databases is limited to 20 uploads (contact us to increase the capacity).
